A Prayer of Thanksgiving
Revelations for this Moment
1 Our prayers should be prayers of thanksgiving for who God is, not just for what He does for us.
2 His promises to His people never cease, and they are unfailing.
3 Lifting our hands in praise to Him during prayer helps prove true the reality of His greatness and our agreement with this truth.
Prayer
Our Father, who is in heaven, We gather today with hearts full of gratitude, lifting our voices in praise to you, the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth. Your grace is boundless, your love unfathomable, and your provisions unending. As we reflect on your goodness, we are reminded of the words of the Psalmist: "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever" (Psalm 107:1).
Lord, we thank you for the bountiful blessings you have bestowed upon us. For the shelter that protects us and the nourishment that supplies our needs, we are eternally grateful. You have provided for our every need, just as you promised.
In the midst of our thanksgiving, we also acknowledge the trials and sufferings we endure for your sake. We embrace these challenges, knowing that they refine our faith and draw us closer to you. Lord, we pray for strength and perseverance as we navigate the hardships of this world. May we find true solace in the promises and empowerment you give to us.
As we celebrate this day of thanksgiving and fellowship, we lift our hearts and our hands in unison, proclaiming your greatness and acknowledging your sovereignty. May our lives be a testament to your grace and a reflection of your love. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
